Why are you always in your head?

How do you stop overthinking, silence your inner critic and rediscover your worth?

What will you learn on this course?

An overthinking brain is like a loud air conditioning unit or tumble dryer, constantly revolving in your mind...

It's always on and never stops.

Always spinning in the background, going round and round.

Most of the time it's making you ovethink pointless BS.

It's keeps you stuck in the past.

It replays percieved mistakes.

It constantly torments with "what if" and "if only I hadn't done that..."

It repeatedly focuses on previous "fuck ups,"

It is constantly reminding you of your perceived deficits.

If its not in the past, its in the future.

It's constantly in fear of what may or may not happen.

It's primary feeling is anxiety.

It's constantly in worry.

It tells you it's collecting important data and that it needs every peice of information

Its actually just running I'm circles, getting nowhere.

It thinks there is an ideal way of doing things, if that can't be achieved then there is no point in trying.

Things might start to improve but it kicks in to tell you.... "this won't last forever"

It constantly gets you to worry what others are thinking.

It makes you feel inferior.

It creates unrealistic expectations.

It remembers mistakes but ignores and forgets all your successes.

It makes you feel like you are not worthy or some kind of imposter.

It lives for the approval and validation of others.

Even when it gets this precious acceptance, it doesn't actually believe it's real and their is some other motive.

It is terrified of looking foolish.

It is relentlessly afraid of being rejected or abandoned.

The result is you constantly feel a sense of worthlessness.

It stops you from acting boldly and healthily.

It keeps you isolating.

" I am so terrible, I can't be a burden or face anybody at the moment "

It shuts off opportunity.

It makes you think the world is a scarce place.

It keeps you always tense and in some kind of low level fear.

So.

How do we stop it ?

By practicing mindfulness and meditation techniques.

Applying proven tools of CBT Cognitive Behavioural Therapy.

Challenge its lies.

Challenge its assumptions and false beliefs.

Turn your biggest critic into a close friend.
